During the global prosperity of the photovoltaic industry, Chinese photovoltaic manufacturing enterprises seized the opportunity of government encouragement and subsidies for the photovoltaic industry, rapidly expanded production capacity, and gradually seized the global market, forming a relatively complete solar photovoltaic industry chain including high-purity silicon production, solar cell and module manufacturing, photovoltaic system installation, and related supporting industries. The newly installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation in the domestic market increased from 10.95GW in 2013 to 52.83GW in 2017, with a compound annual growth rate of 53.5%. The rising demand in the downstream of the industry has driven the expansion of production capacity for manufacturing enterprises in the industry.

At the same time, China's energy regulatory authorities have provided guidance on the future development of the photovoltaic power generation industry in the form of policy documents. According to the "Thirteenth Five Year Plan for Solar Energy Development" issued by the National Energy Administration, by the end of 2020, China's photovoltaic installed capacity will reach over 105 million kilowatts, maintaining a stable development scale every year on the basis of the "Thirteenth Five Year Plan". This will bring sustained development opportunities for China's photovoltaic module related enterprises, Beneficial for the sustained prosperity of the photovoltaic ribbon market.

According to industry researchers at Xinsijie, if the predicted global cumulative installed capacity of 772GW is used in 2021, it means that the annual compound growth rate of the cumulative installed capacity of solar photovoltaic power generation worldwide will reach 19.5% from 2018 to 2023. As a country with a large output of global photovoltaic modules, China will definitely fully seize the opportunity of the rapid development of global photovoltaic installed capacity, and the photovoltaic ribbon industry in China will also usher in new development opportunities.
